The Globetrotting Equine Dental Vet: Dr Shannon Lee

Australian dental vet specialist and regular contributor to Horses and People Magazine, Dr Shannon Lee, was invited to promote and upskill Equine Dental Vets across four continents. Shannon's hectic travel schedule will see him lecturing and teaching in South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Ireland, Germany and the USA, and he will be sharing his experiences in this blog.
Equine Dental Vets is an organisation committed to advancing horse health. In partnership with Horses and People Magazine, they provide monthly healthcare features in the magazine covering a huge range of healthcare topics and useful information for owners who want to do the best for their horse.
The group is made up of Equine Dental Veterinarians from across the globe with over 300 members right here in Australia. Most EDV members provide after hours and emergency care for all equine health issues as well as dental care. Lindsey and Skitter: The journey of a non-pro reiner and her horse

Long-time Western rider and horse owner from Arkansas, USA. Lindsey Vincent is training her young QH colt 'Skitter' using clicker training techniques.

"I don't believe there are many clicker trained reining horses." says Lindsey. "I have heard of some but have yet to see them at the NRHA or AQHA circuits. My goal is to see how far Skitter and I can go, and all his training will revolve around using Dr Susan Friedman's Humane Hierarchy."

A professional certified dog trainer. Lindsey understands the benefits of using learning theory and applying an evidence-based approach to animal training. Through her blog she will be documenting the journey of training Skitter, a Quarter Horse colt by 'Chic Please'. You can also read training other articles Lindsey is writing for Horses and People Magazine in the articles 'Training' section of the website.
